VISUAL ARTS

• Notebook/pocket folder for notes and handouts

• Portfolio 11x17 or larger (paper, cardboard, vinyl). You can make one with heavy cardboard and tape.

• Sketchbook (5.5 x 8.5 or larger). You can make one with copier paper and cardboard.

• Drawing pencil set (must contain 3H, H, F, B, 3B, 5 or 6B) General makes a set that includes a sharpener and kneaded eraser.

• Pencil sharpener

• Kneaded eraser

• White eraser

• Ruler (metal would be next)

• Black ink (Higgins or similar)

• Brush set. Pro Art has a student set.

• Gouache set. Talen has a student set.

• Plastic round palette
