Maine Arts Academy has been awarded $54,529.75 by the Department of Education's Outdoor Learning Initiative Grant. The academy plans to use this grant to conduct a 6-week summer program called "The Art of Biking." The program aims to combine biking and photography to provide students with a unique learning experience. During the course, the students will learn how to ride a mountain bike, fix bikes, reduce environmental impact by choosing bike transportation over driving, and use a camera to capture pictures of bikes and bike parts. The program will conclude with a photography exhibition titled "The Art of Biking."
About Funding
ARP ESSER funds received from the USDOE support the implementation of this project. The project has an award totaling $6.6 million dollars of which 100% is federally funded and directly attributed to project implementation.
