Humanities
Our Humanities curriculum integrates English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies to provide a comprehensive learning experience. This approach emphasizes the development of literacy skills through the exploration of historical and social contexts. In ELA, students engage in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language activities that foster effective communication and critical thinking. Similarly, our Social Studies program encourages students to analyze historical events, understand governmental structures, and evaluate economic and geographic factors, promoting informed and active citizenship. This interdisciplinary methodology aligns with the Maine Learning Results standards, ensuring that our students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success in both academic and civic spheres.
