Admissions:
Please complete the Intent to Enroll form at the bottom of the page and submit it. If you need assistance in this process or have any questions, please contact our office at 207-618-8908 ext 901 or [email protected]. Additional enrollment forms will be emailed after the lottery date.
Lottery:
If we receive more Intent to Enroll forms than seats available, we will have a lottery on March 31st at 3 pm. Please see the Lottery Guidelines below for more information. Completed Intent to Enroll forms that are not given a seat from the lottery or received after March 31st will be placed on a waiting list.
Lottery Guidelines:
-
Siblings and children of staff: All siblings of admitted students will be placed prior to holding a lottery. MeAA shall also give enrollment preference to children of the school’s full-time employees, as long as they constitute no more than 10% of the school’s total learner population.
-
MeAA may limit admission to pupils according to given age group(s) or grade level(s) and may make modifications as to the number of students in any particular grade to accommodate staffing exigencies and attrition patterns.
-
Applicants: All names of remaining students who have submitted the Intent to Enroll will be given randomly drawn number and placed in a bin if there are more applicants than slots for a specific grade level.
-
Drawing: As each number is drawn, the student will be admitted or placed on the waiting list.
-
Siblings of admitted students: When a student is admitted, their siblings’ names are automatically drawn. If there is space, the siblings are admitted as well. If not, they will be placed on the wait-list.
-
Admitted students: Parents of accepted students will receive additional enrollment papers to complete and submit for the enrollment to be finalized. This admittance remains in effect until they graduate or transfer.
-
Waitlisted students: If there is no longer space available, the student will be placed on the wait-list in the order that his or her name was drawn. If an opening occurs in a given grade, students on the waitlist will be contacted according to their order on the waitlist.
-
Students who apply to MeAA after the lottery date: These students will be conditionally admitted only if space is available. If space is not available, they will be placed on the wait-list in the order that their completed application is received.
-
MeAA accepts all applications and does not discriminate based on sex, race, color, religion, handicaps or disabilities
